Sign Post Forest

We had read about the sign post forest at Watson Lake before leaving on our trip. So we had a sign specially made up. You can see it on the very first picture in the blog. It says "10 dogs, 4 Handlers, 2 RVs, 1 Box DogGoneFast Flyball Club, Raleigh NC". We have carted the darned thing all the way from Raleigh to be put in it's new home at the sign post forest! That place was actually really neat. We spent about an hour walking past signs and reading where they were from. It all started when a young man from Danville, IL who was putting up a mileage sign decided to add his hometown to it. At last count there were over 55,000 signs in the sign post forest.

After we had nailed up our sign, we noticed that there were lots of vanity plates from various universities, but we had not seen an NC State plate. So we took the plate off the front of the little RV and put it up beside our flyball sign. Here is a picture of them in their new home.
